Personal Website is Finally Up and Running
One of the craziest Saturday nights of my life resulted in the development of this personal website. Last night, I lit a Vanilla Pumpkin candle from Trader Joe’s and proceeded to read a chapter from Turtles All the Way Down by John Green.
At 2:30 AM, after three hours of sleep, I woke up, had to use the bathroom, and went back to bed. After tossing and turning for a long time, I looked at my watch and saw that it was 3:30 AM. My mind wouldn’t switch off, so I gave in to my temptation from dinner and headed down to the kitchen to prepare myself some dessert—double chocolate chip muffins (heated up) mixed with Vanilla Ice Cream. Delicious. I continued watching an episode of Jet Lag: The Game that I had previously left unfinished.
Once the episode and dessert were finished, I didn’t feel like going back to bed. In true developer fashion, I felt the urge to do some development work. A task I had assigned myself for this weekend was working on the first version of my personal website. I always knew I wanted to use the Minimal Mistakes Jekyll theme for my GitHub Pages website; it was now just a matter of putting everything together.
Now, at around 5:30 AM, the first version of this website is complete. Time to finally go back to bed. Chelsea play Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League tomorrow — looking forward to a great game of football and a Chelsea win. You know chippy chips?
